Dr. Carrie K. York
Dr. Carrie K. York is a native of Seattle, has achieved various scholastic and professional accomplishments, and continues to learn and improve in dentistry techniques and patient care.
Dr. York taught for many years at the University of Washington School of Dentistry,
In the dental clinics where third- and fourth-year students care for patients. Dr. York taught in the dental school clinics since she was a senior in dental school, and has volunteered at the dental school in many capacities over the years, including the Dental Alumni Association Board.
Dr. York continues to be involved in organized dentistry, as she has for many years. She currently helps plan and implement the regional dental meeting, providing continuing education to thousands of dental professionals at the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference.
Dr. York is involved in her local community and has boy/girl adult twins. She enjoys Husky football, Washington wines, and traveling.

Dr. Allena Novak
Dr. Allena Novak grew up in Kent, Washington, and has always aspired to be a dentist. She and her husband and their family love spending time outdoors enjoying activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking. On those not-so-perfect Pacific Northwest days, she prefers reading or watching movies.
Her mother and Dr. York met while growing up on Mercer Island and have been friends since second grade. With 11 years of clinical experience, Dr. Novak has been part of Dr. York’s practice in several capacities: first as a lifelong patient and then as an intern during high school and college. Now, she looks forward to practicing alongside Dr. York as a dentist.

Meet Our Care Team
We are a pretty active family! We love taking trips in our RV, finding new places to ride our ATVs, and spending sunny days boating or wake surfing on Lake Washington or Lake Sammamish. During quiet times I love to read, garden, cook, and take long walks with my Golden Retriever, Maize.
I’ve lived on Mercer Island for over 25 years with my husband, and two kids who are both married, and I have one grandchild! Outside of work, when I’m not spending time with my family I like to garden, exercise at the Mercer Island Community Center, walk my Bernese Mountain dog, and root for the Seattle Seahawks!

After almost two decades in this office, I have really enjoyed getting to know our wonderful patients! In my free time, I like to paddleboard with my daughter on Lake Washington or Lake Sammamish. I also enjoy playing golf with whoever will play with me. My cat Jasper keeps me busy, as he thinks he’s a dog. I look forward to meeting you!
I’ve been a dental assistant for two years and seeing completed treatment and new smiles is what I love most about this career! When I’m not at the office I enjoy canvas painting, meditation, music, and playing with my cat Gizmo. I can’t wait to meet you!

My great joy is music and I love playing the Violin with the Kirkland Civic Orchestra and singing with Kirkland Choral Society. When not performing I am teaching my miniature Poodle Bitsy Rally Obedience and hope to be in the show ring soon. Cooking and gardening are things I share with my front office team and we enjoy exploring Seattle sights, restaurants, and shopping during our monthly office field trips. I look forward to assisting you with any of your dental questions and seeing you in our office.
